Plant-a-Letterbox Day

From: (john@johnsblog.com) | Date: 2015-09-01 05:22:45 UTC-07:00

I'm thinking about having LbNA join the next Plant-a-Letterbox Day that AQ has every year on May 24th. What do you think?

Participation has dropped off this year on AQ, but maybe we can help bring those numbers up. I could show a widget on the home page with the PAL box count by state during that week. This is more a celebration than a competition, but there are rules at the link below.

I always thought it was good fun and provided an incentive for me to stop stalling and plant my carves, of which I currently have 20, yes, 20 just lying around ---- incentiveless.

"Participation has dropped off this year on AQ"

When I started letterboxing back in 2007, it was because of a small article I read in Family Fun magazine.
I thought it was something that would be fun to do with my kids in the summer and get them outside more.
And it was!!   I know a lot of people came in because of a Washington Post article back in the day.
Perhaps it's come time for another "little article" to pop up somewhere again.
